Brook Yanlin was drawn to the raw and fragile energy of Träd, Gräs och Stenar, especially their album Tack för kaffet. In its sound, he heard more than music: memory, farewell, disorientation, and a quiet movement toward peace. The album cover, with its still and understated image, opened a space for reflection — on the fragile bonds between people, on the relation between humanity and nature, and on the smallness of human life within the universe. From this resonance, Yanlin began a series of paintings, attempting to let the music return in another form — through color, surface, and material.
