Created during the entrance examination at HfBK Dresden, Sinnlos reflects on the absurdity of having to prove oneself within an exam structure. The film responds to the pressure of prompt-based creation — a situation in which expression is expected to appear on demand, while the artist is forced to justify their own existence through a work. Rather than fulfilling the given task directly, the film turns toward the emptiness behind the act of proving. It becomes a quiet refusal: a work about the meaninglessness of being asked to demonstrate meaning.
