In response to social pressure, Brook Yanlin turned his gaze to the body—a silent vessel where experiences accumulate. He came to understand that social structures and collective experiences often leave lasting marks on the individual, inscribed not only in thought, but also deeply etched into flesh. In its silence, the body offers a way of seeing—one through which the unspeakable becomes visible, and the lingering traces of impact can be followed. This series does not begin with a conclusion, but with the most fundamental presence: a concrete, embodied form
